I know it's a never ending battle, but I've 'removed' the trumpet vine from the garden fence

That section is a post fence with garden fencing attached. The vine was taking over, damaging the fence and shading one side of the vegetable garden. It took me three separate attacks but now we can do the repairs and reinforcements with chicken wire.

There's a pile of vines/trunks that need to be broken down and bagged but that can wait. I'm tired.

There is still a sizable plant in the back lot so no bees or birds will suffer. That one will be trimmed back. A lot.

Lift the roof off your house. Luckily I put mine in the middle of the yard. It is still sending up shoots years later. The lawn guy mows it down.
