I picked up veg plants. I was surprised at what I didn't find

NO zucchini. Oh well. Last year the summer squash came in FAR earlier than the tomatoes so getting them in late will probably be a good thing.

Once I get these in, I'll see how much room (and energy) I have left and then maybe pick up a few indulgence type tomatoes.

Hopefully tonight is the last night in the 30's. I'm ready to start planting.

See if you can beg a few seeds. I can't imagine what a packet of seeds would produce!

I also work in a building with 40 other people. It will be easy to get rid of.

I have a ton of squash - zucchini and otherwise - that are waiting for me to transplant them out of their winter sowing jugs. Some of them I just planted in the jugs last week. They're up and strong and ready to go.

A packet of seeds would yield more than enough....

I've been giving my extras away on the local Buy Nothing group.

I found the same thing Tuesday when I went to pick up some starts, no zukes.

But they had some other summer squash varieties that I'm really eager to try... calabacitas, here we come!

13. To all the folks here who will be getting a ton of zucchini from their gardens....

Give it to the local food bank! We did that in the past.

As a matter of fact, now we plan on growing extras of some things just for the purpose of donating it to the food bank. They are very grateful for homegrown produce.
