we never planted them, but we got 3 bird or squirrel gifts, but then landscaping. will see.

They are low growing plants, whose flower stems remain underground, that bear relatively large white, yellow, orange or purple flowers and then become dormant after flowering. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crocus
This is a SMALL patch on a piece of my southern yard; many more will appear next weeks. Looking forward to seeing how they do this week, as sun and mid-forties forecast, then sun and low to mid 50s!!!
