I just took a stroll around the property. The fruit trees are starting to bud.

This is absolutely the earliest I've ever seen this happen. I'm not sure if the danger of frost damage happens just when the blossoms appear, or if it's also a threat to the buds.

The ornamental bushes are also starting to bud. One looks ready to leaf out.

Daffodils have been peeking up for a while, but that's not unusual. They are pretty weather hardy.

Honestly, this is the weirdest Winter I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them.

My buddy's place while he's out of town for a spell and all his trees are budding too. Tulips are a couple inches tall, some iris are poking out. It's really weird, they are about eight weeks early.

We're bound to have hard freezes between now and May, not good for the trees once they start to bud is how I've always known it but things are changing fast.
