Garlic scapes

After clipping these garlic scapes, more plant energy goes into bulb production. I’ll be sautéing them shortly.

1. Far northern here. My scapes are still weeks away.

I like stir frying chopped scapes in salted sesame oil in a wok with cooked rice and a pinch of ground red pepper.

Plants are looking good but no scraps yet.

3. I'm surprised to have these so early

going by what others have said. I guess it’s quite a change from my area (NE Ohio) to more northerly locales.
