1. New to the gardening forum but here in Southern New England this is a banner year for hydrangeas.

have seen some spectacular hydrangeas this year. I am NOT an expert.

3. The ones we have were transplanted from my wife's mother's yard when she died

7 years ago. They've haven't bloomed since, till this year, 2 blue, 2 maroon. My wife couldn't be happier.
