Related: About this forumLandreth Seed Company's ongoing troubles.
I think it was here that I first read about Landreth, the oldest seed company in the US, which was in financial trouble, and trying to prevent going under. I ordered a catalog to show my support, and have occasionally checked their site to see what is new. I saw this post linked on Facebook today. It seems criminal the way that this was allowed to happen to them. I can't believe these business practices are legal!
I thought I would share it here in case others are still following their story too.

(2,211 posts)I need to go back and see when I ordered the catalog. Maybe I can lodge a complaint through my credit card.

(18,219 posts)for Landreth Seed Company. I am so pissed that I cannot see or think straight right now, but when I digest this, I will have a plan to do something about this---even if it is a feeble plan.
I got my catalog, and it is a great one. I have already been dreaming of spring!!! The fact that I got this catalog is a testament to this small business and their integrity. This company was hurting originally and now are being thrown under the bus.
If anyone comes up with any suggestions on how to deal with this, please post those thoughts. Like I said, I am not in a thinking mode right now.

(39,345 posts)I read that doc on FDMC, Landreth's cc processor. That seems criminal and I don't know why Landreth doesn't get a really good lawyer specializing in retail/commercial law.
Seems like FDMC made a business decision to suddenly act more like a predator than just another friendly b2b service company.
I'm watching this b/c I am thinking of starting a couple of small businesses in the coming year. I would hope to accept credit cards for one of them, but geez, I don't want anything to do with cc processors like FDMC.
edit: I would hope Landreth can get out of their relationship with FDMC and find another processor.
