Related: About this forumA natural poison ivy eradication?
I just bought a house in the midwest, and see poison ivy creeping up the garage. Is there an organic method to get rid of it?

(36,063 posts)2. I've heard vinegar and salt will work. They are natural, if not organic.
I "borrowed" 2 from a co-worker. They cleared out poison ivy and blackberry bushes (wild ones) very nicely. Just don't let them get near landscaping plants you want to keep.

The poisonous oil is still in those dried up and dead looking stalks.
Good luck. We never had much luck around here with organic methods, but I hope they work for you.
