Question for the mothers

What kind of articles are you most likely to read about parenting and the challenges of being a mom?

Any ideas would be appreciated as I have been contracted to write a couple of articles for an online women's magazine with a demographic of 25 - 65 and mostly moms.

Here's the problem - two have to be about moms or specifically for moms and I'm not a mother.

And would you rather read an article about love and lifestyle or beauty and style?

Thanks for any help.

If you want to target parenting and challenges of being a mom - that's the last thing on their list.

How to handle colicky babies, fussy eaters, clingy toddlers, dads who don't do a gd thing, juggling kids/work/housework (cause the dads don't do a gd thing. . . ), pre-teens, preschoolers, teenagers (rebellion, clothes, school, dating) video game addiction, gender issues - children, who don't fit that classic blue boy/pink girl mould - the non-traditional child, homeschooling options, leaving home, college, empty nesters, coming BACK home, finances, grandchildren..... and of course - dads who don't do a gd thing!

Edit to add - the whole breastfeeding or not issue. And breastfeeding in public issue. And pumping while at work issue.
Cloth versus disposable diapers, diaper rash. Immunizations (GET THEM!!!!!!), fostering independence, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Oh - one more thing - if you DO do "beauty and style" - do something that's REAL and realistic. Pissed me off to no end back when I read "Working Mother" magazine and the clothes were all $150 blouses and $200 pants and shoes and bags.... or the "makeovers". Howabout, how to exercise with your baby - it's play for them and exercise for you... Oh and tell moms not to wear long dangly or hoop earrings, babies love to pull on those - hurts like a bitch. If your hair's long, pull it BACK - they love to pull that, too. Stress LOW MAINTENANCE makeup and clothes, comfortable shoes, and that no - you are NOT going to get your old body back anytime soon like all those "celebs" unless you, too, can afford a personal trainer and chef. (and plastic surgery)

4. The two articles I did for moms

was one about teenagers and one about moms finding some time for themselves.

I did two on recipes (at their request).

The last one was on style - the gist was dress to please yourself. Have some basic wardrobe pieces that you know you look good in and feel good in and forget the fads. Women get jerked around too much by the fashion industry.

I appreciate the suggestions!
