LOL, I was just checking the weather forecast for today...

UPDATE FROM BRANDON ROUX

A Week Of 90s Ends With Weekend Storms

FRI: The pick day of the week here in Metro Detroit, especially if you like the heat. A nice start with temps in the mid 60s to near 70F as you let the dog take you for a walk early on. Sunshine to a mix of sun and clouds with highs near 90F and lower humidity. A cool front is blowing through here this morning keeping it more comfy today. The heat and storms fire up this weekend.

Not sure that will be comfortable. That's OK. I'll set the AC lower than I like (78) and we can see how things play out when it's time to eat.

Besides, if we stay inside the boys (and their visiting sister) won't feel left out of the festivities. AND no flies or mosquitoes.

Or standing right in front of the air conditioner, fur blowing in the breeze, as mine has been doing lately.

She does like to sunbathe in the afternoon in the middle of the living room floor, as long as the AC is on.

One of her favorite napping spots lately is a cardboard scratcher. It's a rectangular box about 2 inches high with corrugated cardboard inside. To stabilize it, I glued it to a heavy board that I had already covered with a carpet remnant. When not scratching the cardboard, she likes to sleep on top of what she has scratched loose.

heat of the day. It's shady, but it's also hot as hades out there. Must be at least 95 degrees. They come inside to cool down for a few minutes and then are ready to go right back out there. I don't worry about them as I know that today's cats evolved from a desert dwelling relative.
