HUGE steps forward with the kittens. Also some pics.

I got in a nose boop and extended pet and scritch session with Gwyn. All 3 kittens were playing with a stick I was waving along the ground. Got a pic of Gwyn playing with it. And they ate their evening kibble very close to where I was sitting. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with the progress.

The kittens are adorable. The dusty coated tabbies, and the grey are good looking and healthy. You are a true hero, thanks for all the generous caring, for the strays.

5. A friend of mine recently lost her lovely feline son, Henri. She's asking about the kittens

It happened not that long after losing another beautiful fur baby.

This gives me more motivation.

The boys get along so great, I'm not going to risk introducing any tension into the mix.

15. My best friend, who will be here on Saturday, is one of those 'cat ladies'

I know that at one point she had over a dozen. I know she's downsized but I'm not sure of the current count.

Caring for my outdoor fur babies, along with the 3 indoor ones, keep me busy enough!

. . . big kitty at the top of the photo -- the grey one who is eyeballing you suspiciously -- the mother??

That pic of the white one standing up to do battle with the stick is classic??

11. That's Scooter, the mom. That look is more 'Seriously? You think this is an enough food?'

She is from the very first litter I started feeding, and the only survivor. The mom is Skittish, who has only just reappeared after going missing for weeks.

The siblings were Mittens the Kitten, Spooky Jr and Tuxie.

Skittish has never warmed to me, one bit. I was feeding her for a couple of months before she brought the kittens to the yard. Before she died, Mittens was occasionally letting me give her pets and scritches.

9. How can you tell Gwyn from the other cream kitten?

Since the 2 creams have markings similar to Siamese, and if Bruiser is the father, the creams might get darker as they get older. Siamese kittens are light colored when born, but darken with age.

At one time its eyes were also a darker blue. They've lightened a little.

14. Thanks. I wondered what the differences were.

Cats have blue eyes at birth, which change to lighter or darker blue or to a different color altogether.

When I first got Ember at 9 weeks old, her eyes were no longer blue but had not developed yet into their final color. They looked like a muddy grayish brown to me, although I've never heard of a brown eyed cat. By the time she was 8 months old, they had a definite greenish cast. By the time she was a year old, they were a clear, bright green, very close to the "gooseberry green" color description of Egyptian Mau eyes.

16. The gray kitten's eyes have turned to a sort of gray with hints of gold. Definitely not blue.

The other two look EXACTLY like miniature Bruisers.

It's going to be a warm day so I intend to spend more time on the porch step, working on getting the kittens to build trust. I got a lot of pets in with Gwyn, this morning.

17. Do you plan to catch and neuter them.

Looks like you could soon get Gwyn easily but the others might get more wary if they see her taken.
