The kittens are all snuggled up. (pic)

We're giving them today to 'decompress' but will be checking on them and giving them some snuggles throughout the day.

I'm going to try and get another playpen and connect the doors so that they have MUCH more room.

If I lived near you, I’d be at your door begging to take the 2 off-white ones.

And, yes, the one with the striped legs is Gwyn so the big eye beauty is Eira.

Look like they're ready for whatever you have going on next. The other looks unsure about the whole separation from mom thing. That one will get over it in a few days.

I'm making progress with Mikey. We have re-established some of our routines, like watering the flower around the small cottage and watching the sunset on the porch. We already had a breakfast routine and a bed-time routine so there are only specific things to work on. He's getting less ornery about staying in at night. I keep telling him he's a good boy and that he's not being punished, we're just being safe along with snuggles. That seems to get the best results with him.

One thing I figured out was that he learned "calm down" from living with that puppy his mom got a couple years ago. If I have to tell him that when he's having a tantrum, he actually stops being bad and goes and does a time out all by himself! How can you argue with that?

He told me he hates the new litter I got, he goes to the box and sniffs the door and gives me the mouth half open stink eye. He's hilarious, really. He also doesn't like beef or liver, told me so. The good part about his objections is that they don't result in his leaving pee spots or piles of poo anywhere, he just finds something to shred with his claws. I can live with that much easier than the former!

Anyway, you'll have your hands full for a spell now! Enjoy all those bundles of furry fun!

As long as they aren't in my skin! Dealing with the litter box is a major concession on my part, I normally, if I have a cat, will use the outdoors. I try to avoid taking on pets in small spaces but this is an unusual case and since we already have a relationship that is superior to any others he has and is crucial to his survival, I'll deal with it.

He's eight+ yo and is still willing to learn and interact as if he does. He looks just like the president's cat, beautiful blue tabby. I have to let him go out during the day as he would destroy my home or become profoundly depressed if I didn't. We tried that last year when we all first moved from the ranchette. He became depressed and I was really worried about him. He had never lived anywhere else so I wasn't sure if he'd run away.

This time I kept him in for about ten days to heal his battle wounds from his mom's new place. Now he goes out but he sticks around the place and is always within calling distance when not in sight. Right now he's telling me I need to get the poop out of the litter box by banging the cupboard doors located under the kitchen sink so I have to get on that for a return to peace in the house.

"There's no peace until the kitties are tended to".

thought from O’Donoghue when he was being interviewed by some entertainment show or magazine during the heyday of early SNL and they were all the bona fide Toasts of the Town: Wherever we went we would be treated like royalty and it would be easy to let your ego get out of control, and then you’d go home and STILL have to clean the litter box.

has some dark blotches and semi stripes on his/her back. From earlier pictures of the face, I thought the gray areas were solid. The first picture showed a sweet facial expression. I think that sweetness will come back when Mysterio has adapted to a new life.

It's evident that he is not yet completely comfortable in his new situation, from the way he's kind of hiding behind his siblings and not fully turned toward the camera (and the human holding it). But he'll get there. Some kitties (like some humans) need a little more time than others to adjust to new things. 😺
