The ferals have started using the little shelter beneath the wood rack on the deck

I made it for Carys and her siblings, this Summer, to protect them from the sun and/or rain. Today is rainy and I see one, or maybe even two, ferals curled up in the straw bed.

I'm going to put down some fresh straw and dried leaves. Maybe even a 2nd bed. I wish I could snow proof it, but the deck is on the north side of the house.

This little kitty is so sweet, I'm considering trying to trap, neuter & bring indoors.

The litter was born shortly after Ibought house & the sweet little gray one was always curious about the house, whereas the 2 black littermates were much more wary.

He is a teeny little guy. Maybe 4 lbs, if that. And is terrified of my hands, but I've been getting scritches in lately!

Not sure if elder senior cat will tolerate another feline. Afraid to try, but it sure seems the little feral guy is determined to come inside.

Gryff and Madoc would sit in the hallway, VERY interested. If I'd pick up a kitten to show them they'd sometimes hiss or swat but nothing too scary. And they could smell the kittens' scent on my hands and clothes.

Once the kittens were 'liberated' from the room there would be the occasional soft hiss or gentle swat but within a couple of days, they were all one happy little family.
