At this point I believe I am TOTALLY being played

Carys has started to follow me around the house. Sometimes she runs up and stops about a foot away from me. If I reach out to pet her she runs away.

But at night she's still snuggling up, sometimes tucking herself right beneath my chin and then falling asleep.

Right now she's on the cat tree, across the room, keeping an eye on me. She remains a bit of a Mysterio.

But if they see a hand or foot approaching them they get spooked. It’s been about six weeks and I do see progress, but it’s slow going.

My indoor cat Patches used to be an outdoor cat. He would run in the door every time I opened it and go and hide under a table where I couldn’t dig him out. Then he would give me a mischievous look, swear to god

... "Love me, but don't touch me". They'll come running up but when you reach down to pet them, they'll slink down to the floor and take off. Then when you're not paying attention they'll come jump in your lap.

Which means after I'm settled in bed. That's OK. I relish the time. If I roll over and face away from her she climbs over me to be face to face.

No matter which way I turned, she didn't want me to have my back to her.
