My calico cat Charlotte has a problem.

She keeps leaving puddles of pee around my apartment.

I keep the litterbox scooped, daily.

She is about 16 years old.

1. Could be a UTI or kidney problem and she's trying to tell you.

I'd take her to vet. Poor baby.

3. Could be a UTI, easily treated with antibiotics.

Sometimes if a cat has a UTI they'll pee outside their litter box because they associate the box with discomfort. She needs to see a vet ASAP, though.

5. Have you seen it happen? One of my now-deceased elder cats started having seizures in her

latter days and the in-retrospect first sign of the at-that-time-unwitnessed seizures was an unexplained puddle of cat urine. It happened a few times (not unsure exactly how many because she was indoor/outdoor) before we saw her having a seizure and therefore could report such to the vet.

7. If it's not a UTI, she may need to take Proin

My elderly female dog would dribble pee, and the Proin fixed her right up. My male vet was trying to so gingerly tell me about females, aging, and bladder control.

I remember it being rather inexpensive. It took a few days to work, but then it was great. Her dribbling would return if we screwed up and didn’t reorder it on schedule.

I have a problem with one of my cats...

Do cats get senile?

Charlotte, my 16 year old calico is peeing in spots around the house, and today, she stood in front of me and peed on the floor.
