Here's hoping she and Raven get along.

She's only a year old!

Gradual introductions work best. Give the new girl her own space for a day or two and let them get acquainted slowly.

one of my cats Willow. Ended up naming her Minnie Pearl (her name at the shelter was Tiny) after my husband’s childhood cat. He got her during his childhood and she lived to be nineteen I believe, and he was in his twenties when she died. She had kittens a time or two. They gave one kitten to a neighbor and even after it was an older kitten, Minnie the first would go across the street and try to drag her ‘baby’ home. Kind of sad when you think about it.

for names that are overdone. We've had dozens of Lunas and Bellas come through the doors, for instance, and recently got two Mollys, one of which has been changed to Polly. So the Lunas are now getting other "moon" names like Selena and Zari and Crescent and the Bellas are getting other synonyms like Beauty. I guess we may need to start one for Willow with trees and shrubs and vines.

Her shelter name was Monica. I like the name Monica and considered keeping it but decided I didn't feel like finding off any lame "Where's Rachel (or Phoebe, Chandler, Ross, or Joey)?" jokes. My daughter and I chose Wilow because it was one of our favorite girls' names. I had no idea it was a wildly popular cat name at the time!

My husband has since given her the nickname Willie, and it's grown on me, but as far as I'm concerned, her official name is still Willow.

She'll not replace Charlotte but will fill the empty space with her own self. I forgot the name of your other sad kitty, may she get along with her new house mate.
