Related: About this forumThe 'Kittenzilla' alarm clock went off at 5, stomping across my head
Then a magical transformation happened and she became a purring Cuddle Kitten, curling up against my neck and falling back to sleep. As did I, for another 45 minutes.
Mornings don't get much better than that.

If that doesn't work, she chews on them.

(1,230 posts)All my life Ive been an early riser. When I woke up I was wide awake and ready to face the day, which, as my sweet mama pointed out, also had to face me. It took me years to understand that my energy could be a bit intense, off-putting even, to those who eased into the day.
I remember one morning back during junior high, waking up from a sleepover at a friends house. We were having breakfast. Her mom peered over her coffee cup at me and said, my goodness, chatterbox, youre so hard to take in the morning! I got up, walked around the table, gave her a big hug and whispered in her ear. I love you, too, Mrs.B, and arent you glad Im not your daughter? Oh, my, your dear mother 😂
So heres to the early risers, and those who live with us!

(142,403 posts)I will be kitteh-sitting this coming week and I know that whichever one I have, apparently appreciates the "spa vacation" treatment of getting breakfast around 4 am while I'm getting my coffee. I KNOW that is not a "thing" for either of my sisters, so they get the "wake up" march on their heads while trying to hide under the covers..
