OK, I'm very confused about the kitten's mom

She came out of the nice blue shelter, followed by Merlin and Rhys!!?!? Tegan and Rhian are in the shelter. I was beginning to worry about them so I checked, much to the mom's displeasure. She never seemed at all stressed when I spent the afternoon rounding up her other babies and putting them back in the bed that was close to the shelter. And these kittens are healthy. Bronwyn has some eye discharge, but this morning it was almost non existent.

So why did she take in someone else's kittens but leave her own out, from about noon until almost 8? I already have a headache and this is making it worse. I'm MUCH rather she take care of her babies and use me as a back up.

Today is going to be interesting.

2. No.

The shelter is made from an old insulated cooler chest so there isn't a whole lot of extra room.

3. You're doing a good job, I'm kind of stressed about Tiger this morning

About midnight I could hear him meowing out on the porch. I got up and he was sitting in a corner so I went out and petted him and kept meowing. I finally realize the orange cat belong to the neighbor was down there and they had probably had a fight. I went out one more time to pet Tiger and I don’t know if I accidentally stepped on his tail or what but he hissed and took off. So at least he’s not sick or injured I hope he will come back tonight

4. I once closed a screen door on Sian's leg

Her reaction was pretty extreme. When I opened the door, she wasn't even injured. I think she was more scared. I felt so bad.

Same with the outdoor kittens. They constantly get under foot and I've stepped on a few tails.

I'm guessing, getting a little confusing, maybe the moms are siblings and they care for each other's?
