And short update. Bronywn's meows are much softer, now. Same with Tudor. And her eyes are much cleaner.
They ate a good meal of slurry and then climbed on me. I'll be moving them to the porch at 10 and then outside when it reaches 70. I thought about putting them IN the shelter but I'm worried at how the mom would react. I'll just have to trust my gut.
Anyway, here's the miracle boy. It was about 24 hours ago that I found him, certainly at the brink of death. He is an amazingly resilient little boy.

(106,365 posts)Just watch out for the fleas. Kittens can't take the anemia and fleas suck them dry.

(27,291 posts)Once he was able to bumble, again, I figured he was going to be fine. And his appetite seems good. He certainly is active and curious. I don't know if there are such things as miracles but this sure comes close if there are.
I just moved them to the porch. I might wait to put them outside until after I mow the lawn. I put them in the carrier to move them from one playpen to the other and when the kidcats saw that carrier, they SCATTERED. I think they thought someone was going to the vet.

(27,291 posts)It is difficult for me to put Tudor down. I want to carry him around in my pocket, where he'd probably fit.
The forecast shows rain and thunderstorms for tomorrow. I'll be keeping a VERY close eye on all of the babies - even the ones the mom took into the shelter.

(2,845 posts)an alley we had them for about 6 hours before they went to a local rescue shelter. It was amazing to see them respond to being in a safe environment with food and a quick bath. The male was in really bad shape when we brought them here. They bounced back amazingly quickly. Were playful wagging tales when they left.

(358 posts)I believe those who care for animals that need help are some of the most special people on Earth. Not politicians or talk show hosts but people like you, your son and Siwsan.

(2,845 posts)I almost feel Im getting to know the kitties through the photos and stories.
This same son has a cat named Prince (his favorite singer). Prince is my grancat and I have become a cat admirer. Myself? Two mini Aussies keep me busy.
Not sure I trust people that dont have (or like I should say) pets. Like TFG.

(27,291 posts)I watch a lot of pitt bull rescue videos, too. I was never a fan until I met his dogs and they won me over.

(2,845 posts)Never a problem with them or any of their kids. Its always about the owners and the care and love that is given. I hope the baby pit bulls Liam rescued ended up in a good place and together if possible.

(1,230 posts)How wonderful a difference a day can make, with his guardian angel, Siwsan, taking such good care with him.
I so appreciate the life saving care you take with all teh kitties, large and so small, and your generosity in sharing with us.
Long may you rescue!
