Operation Reunion seems to have worked! I think all 4 kittens are in the shelter with their mom.

I walked away for a minute and returned to see Bronwyn struggling to get up and through the entrance. I'm going to make a wide step for them.

I will do another tour, in a bit, to make sure that Tudor is in there. There is no way he could have climbed through the entrance. Right now I don't want to rock the boat.

And I saw the mom grooming Bronwyn!!

I know there's no need to state that I will be keeping a very close eye on things. Especially tomorrow when it is going to rain. And I'll keep an eye on things to make sure the 4 kittens are together.

As much as I will miss them (but not the middle of the night feedings) being with their mom is the very best thing. I don't know - maybe she was traumatized by the sight of her kittens is such a horrible state. Maybe she thought Tudor was a zombie. I don't know.

Admittedly, I am a little sad, too. But I will see them every day, as long as mom doesn't move them. And since the shelter is right by the food station, I'd be surprised if she does.

I used to do that sometimes when I got overwhelmed.
I’d tell littlebird, “Help me set the timer. I need 18 minutes to adjust my attitude in time out.”
Littlebird was happy to work alone at her easel with her paints and crayons and markers and a stack of newsprint, while I sat on the back stoop, breathing deep breaths and watching the clouds.

When the timer went off, littlebird would come to the back screen door, knock, open the door and say, “the timer dinged, mama, are you ‘justed now and ready to leave timeout? Come see what I made!”🥰

She was such a sweet and easy child. I got time out more often than she did!😂
She’s all grown up now, and she’s still my sweet littlebird.

I just checked and she's out sunbathing and the kittens must all be in the shelter, snoozing away. I keep looking to make sure I don't see Tudor but since he seems to be in there, she had to have picked him up and carried him in, which is a good sign.
