I lost track of Tudor in the house, this morning

I knew he couldn't get outside and I didn't hear any commotion from the kitcats.

He finally cam bumblig out meowing 'You looking for me??' He is a bold little soul.

I will put him in the guest room while I'm off at my appointment. Hopefully it won't take long. It shouldn't. Once I get home I'm going to work REALLY HARD on getting him to understand the litter box. I found him sleeping in it, this morning. Arthur and his siblings used to do that, too.

The other kidcats are keeping their distance so it's been relative peaceful. I expect a breakthrough, this weekend. My best bet is Arthur and/or Sian will be the first to make the first friendship move.

1. Have you tried putting his pee or poop in the litter box?

And someone years ago, suggessted lightly holding a front paw, and gently scratching the litter. Supposed to trigger the instinct. If you catch where he's doing his business, maybe move the box there? Maybe try a different litter, even dirt or sand? Even a different litter box, larger smaller, different material?

Out of the many kittens we had over the years, there was one that wouldn't use the litter box. Hope Tudor catches on.

I have heard him scratching and he does, on occasion use the litter box. Just not consistently.

He'll get the idea. I think it's just a little harder wit him being a single kitten and the bit kidcats still haven't figured out what he actually is.

The one I had wouldn't use a box at all. I can't remember if it was a boy or girl, but I tried every trick I knew.

Keep up the good work

6. Lots of heavy rains and power outages. Not here, fortunately

I went out at about 10 to make sure there were no shivering kittens needing help. From what I could see, they were ALL pushed together into the shelter. We are all now looking for a bigger cooler that can be repurposed to a roomier cat shelter.x`

What about putting two coolers side by side with connecting openings between them?

9. That's an option we're considering

Once I get past today, I'll have less on my mind and more time to start haunting the charity shops and yard sales.

10. Have you scheduled the rescue classes?

Are they for trap, neuter/spay, and release? The female ferals will be grateful.

Or, are the classes for trapping and finding good homes?

I just want to move past today's doctor appointment, which should clear the slate, for a while.

The older cats would not be good for rehoming but they can stay here for as long as they want. The kittens I'd like to rehome. I might stop at the local humane society and see how they do that intake. They are a no kill shelter. And a friend will be here, next month, and she's kind of interested.

I'm hoping he will sleep until I get back from this dreaded appointment. Maybe I'll use him as an excuse to speed things along. I wish I could bring him with me.
