Related: About this forumI've decided I don't feel like working so today is the start of a 3 day long Caturday.
The only eye cleaning I had to do, this morning, was for Tegan, and just one eye. The rest of the babies were bright eyed and very playful. Well, and hungry. When I didn't see Bronwyn and Tegan, a few minutes ago, I took a stroll to see if I could find them. They were with their mom, nursing. That always makes me happy. Rhian was gobbling down some kibble/pate mix. She's a big girl.
I've noticed that Tabby, Dylan and Dot's mom, is venturing closer and closer to me. She spends a lot of time lounging on one of the lawn chairs, in the shade of the Maple tree.
So I might just spend some time there, too, with a good book and a glass or two of a nice, refreshing adult beverage. Tomorrow and Monday will be in the low 90's so I won't be doing much yard work. Oh well, I'm behind on my reading, anyway. No doubt Dylan and Merlin will park themselves on my lap.

He only ate about half a can of fancy feast hung out for a little while on the deck and went back downstairs. I hope hes not losing his appetite. Ill be anxious to see him tonight, Ill give him some tuna or something. Youre doing a great job with those kittens

(27,291 posts)All of the babies seem to be thriving. It's only now I'm really noticing how much smaller Tegan and Bronwyn are than Rhian! She's also very fluffy, so that might make a bit of a difference.

(92,732 posts)I am, though I threatened to do it ll yesterday, going to make at least one batch of chokecherry jelly today. I have two batches to make, might do the second tomorrow. I have no desire to leave the house/yard until Tuesday.
Well, I have to go down the hill to my tomato and spud patch and pull the spuds and some of the onions, they seem to be ready. The tomatoes are recovering and producing fruit now that they've been fenced off from the wildlife, whew!
Enjoy your break, you deserve it!
