The fur babies have had 2 weeks of extra affection. I hope they can readjust to just me.

My best friend was here for 2 weeks. She's a cat mom/rescuer, too. Last year the kidcats were a little stand-offish but this year they absolutely fell in love with her. The fact that Carys made herself seen to anyone but me and the other fur babies was a testament to her good feline vibes. I did a last minute count before she left, yesterday, to make sure there were no missing fur babies. (I PROMISED her hubby I'd do that. )

I'm now in recovery mode because it was two weeks of big changes in our daily routines and I ended up having quite a few dinner and movie gatherings, which were fun but lots of work.

So now they kidcats are left with just me for their daily dose of attention. We will spend the day just relaxing and catching up on episodes of 'Coronation Street'.

Nothing more relaxing that a blazing fireplace and snuggling kidcats.

For winter that is coming next week. Winter starts tomorrow night around here. I have to harvest my tomatoes today since I am not going to deal with trying to protect them from freezing, I'll wait for my near green tomatoes to ripen indoors. There are about 30 of them, kind of small but tasty.

Have a nice day lounging with the family!

Right now there are 7 kittens of varying ages and all but 2 are socialized.

The adults range from 4 to 6. Some are pretty regular visitors (Skittish and Spooky have been coming by for about 4 to 5 years). There's a few that are semi-regular/occasional visitors. A few of the adults will let me get very close but no physical contact. Yet.

I'm hoping I've found a home for the smallest kitten, Tegan.

what being super-catted (my mom's term) is like .
At my peak I have never exceeded 14 or so outdoor cats..
That is so cool that you are doing this.

What happened to Maddock? That is the only name I remember from your posts from 2020-2021? Wasn't he a black kitty? If I strain maybe I can remember the other cat from around then..nope..blanking..

He's black and white. Gryff is black, Arthur and Carys are tabby cats (he is shades of brown with white bib and stockings and she is gray with white mittens and bib) and the newest addition is Sian, AKA Spider Monkey, who is a chocolate tabby.
