My cat J'Emma is a riot. She has these little felt balls we call her "floofs". Every morning, she yells at me until I go on floof patrol under the frig. and the couch to find them all (she is very demanding).
I pile them all in her toy box. She will pick through them until she finds the pink one. Isn't that funny? It's her total favorite. When she finds it, she carries it to me and drops it at my feet. Then we have to play fetch until she tires out or gets bored.
Well, she just stuffed it under the frig., so I have to go!

Your cat doesn't see her pink toy as pink the way we do, but she can see that it's a different color from her other toys, and she likes it for some reason known only to her. She is able to pick it out from the other toys on the basis of whatever color pink looks like to her.

(576 posts)My friend has 3 dogs and is not a cat person. Since she has been coming to my house, she always wants to come in and say hello to the Cow cat. The last time she was here, her husband came in. When he went to leave, Jakie reached out and touched his arm. She said she has a new appreciation for cats since meeting mine!
