Our dogs became expert ratters - I'd flush them out from behind our fridge, and the dogs would catch them every time. Unfortunately then they wanted to play with them...

Roof rats are horrible - no matter what we did in our yard/house, because of all the neighbors with old citrus and pecan trees, it didn't matter. Every spring we would get them bad.
