She is, without a doubt, the most rambunctious kidcat ever in my life. She races through the house, jumping on who or what ever might be in front of her. She has no problem challenging Madoc to a wrestling match, despite the size difference. None of the other fur babies are safe from her love of tussling. She is constantly on the kitchen counter, trying to help me cook or just looking for things to knock to the floor.
The refrigerator magnets are among her favorite targets. I keep limber by bending down to look for and pick them up. I put them back on the refrigerator, knowing full well that the next time I walk through that doorway, they will be scattered, again. Sometimes she doesn't even wait for me to leave. Yesterday she knocked one down and carried it off. A few minutes later I went back to the kitchen to find she had brought it back so I could return it to its proper place.
This morning I was attempting to civilize my look before heading to the store. The whole time she was on the bathroom vanity, giving me head bops, nuzzles, and standing up with her paws on my sweater, asking for kisses and scritches. She purrs pretty much non stop, and has a habit of sticking her tongue out at me.
I remember when I brought her in, I was so hopeful I'd find her a home, and so disappointed when that fell through. Now I can't imagine a day without her mischief keeping me on my toes.

(6,303 posts)I understand totally! We adopted a kitcat from PAWS shelter 5 months ago. She had come up from a Calif. shelter on a plane. She is a grey tabby and a fireball like we have never had before. She is now coming up on 8 months old and terrorizes the house. Jumping on the dog's heads, batting our Himmy and racing around the house like it's Grand Prix time. So far she has broken two bottles in the kitchen, hung herself from the venetian blinds, scratched numerous paper towel rolls into shreds and got shut between the front door and the storm door causing hours of searches.
I am hoping she will calm down here in a few months. Needless to say, NO Xmas tree for us this year!

(7,903 posts)when the one who holds your heart is the one who is so full of all cat things, including mischief. My Archie now - ah, well, it was a long time ago and I know he is waiting at the Bridge for me (and his first communication will be "What the [expletive] took you so long?"

(1,598 posts)A couple of months ago my son and daughter-in-law asked me if I would take two kittens that were in desperate need of a home. One had been found dumpster diving for food outside of a dorm on the OU campus. The other was in a rescue facility that was overcrowded and needed help asap. Stupid me. I said yes. Both kittens came with vet visits, first shots, one spay and a credit card to pay for all of their expenses.
The first to arrive is a demon cat intent on murdering me. The second is a sweet little girl that torments cat #1. They are into everything. I am exhausted.
