Glad she found a place where she can be out in the open yet feel safely out of the way.

(27,291 posts)It was the same with the old cat tree. It is right next to the sliding glass door that leads out to the enclosed porch so I'm going in and out that door, throughout the day.
I just keep hoping that she will continue to get more and more comfortable and confident. And I did get a slow blink from her, this morning. She hasn't done that in quite a while.

(92,732 posts)From her trying to see where she fits in with all the other cats around. She's shy and that could come from being more of an "only child" sort of cat than a team member. I don't know but at least she's showing progressive signs of getting used to the scene in her surroundings. And she knows she's loved and sheltered, she can't not know that part.
Some relationships take more time than others.

She reminds me of my old cat 2k. Her full name was "2kHz". She was named after the audio frequency since she had a super high pitched little meow when she was a baby. She lived to be 18 years old.
