This made my nose tickle just watching it.
I put this in the Pets Group because she's offering an online grooming series for any pet owners who want to learn how to groom their furry companion/ Link: https://girlwiththedogs.com/gwtd-course

(1,445 posts)a dog "blowing its' coat". Wow! I had no idea a Great Pyre grooming would be like that!
I trained myself to groom my (RIP) Soft Coated Wheaten long ago to save money. Well that and no local groomer knew how to do a Wheaten cut anyways. My GS/Australian Blue Heeler/ Great PyreX thankfully does not need this to be done although she is quite the shedder.

(24,145 posts)Even Gracie, the day after coming home from the groomer. We live on a farm, and the Pyrs love to roll in the grass, and walk through the woods. Duke flat refuses to go to the groomer. She called and said--come get him! I used to do it all myself, but its way easier to drop them off for an hour.
I would certainly get a pile of fur off of them when we had three. Especially when they were, "blowing," their coats, which double-coated dogs will do a few times a year.
Its worth it though. If you love this breed, like we do, for their wonderful qualities.
