Shes been nibbling on her food and has not vomited since we came home from the vet! I was hoping shed eat a little more than she has, its only been about one 5.5 oz can since 6 pm last night. Still, thats miles better than her not eating at all, or throwing up everything she eats 20 minutes later.
She also had her favorite treat: the water from a tuna can, which I strain into a little bowl for her whenever making tuna melts. (I purposely had tuna melts late last night so she could have her treat). She definitely deserved it for being so good at the vet and in the car. Split it into two portions so she could have a little last night and a little today. Dont want to overwhelm her stomach.
She just got her anti-nausea pill for the day and had her first thyroid pill of the day at 11. I can tell shes feeling better, if not yet great, because shes been giving me slow blinks. Plus, shes napping out in the open instead of inside her cat tree condo thing or under one of the beds.
On her bed (aka the guest room bed)
In her sunny morning spot by the back door where the neighbors cat sometimes comes by to visit
An interesting can of food we'll try when her appetite is back to normal:
Very curious to see if she likes it. Ingredients include deboned rabbit and chicken.

(35,857 posts)My mom had made some crab Norfolk it is basically blue crab and butter sauce. I gave Kitty a taste of that and she loved it. I always think thats what cured her. I really miss my mom. Hoping Pooper continues to recover.
