Related: About this forumCarys was a real sweetheart, last night. The proof is in the pic.
She hopped up on the bed right after I pulled up the covers and she didn't leave until breakfast. She requested many scritches, gave me plenty of nudges and even settled down on top of me and purred.
The best part was that she fully participated in the whole social grooming aspect of being a feline. Normally she's so self isolated that her interactions with the rest of the kidcats is pretty limited. Last night she, Arthur and Madoc did the whole allogrooming ritual. By the time I was ready to sleep, she and the boys were in a perfect cuddle puddle. Gryff was on a pillow, next to me, and Sian was still deciding where she was going to settle down. When I woke up in the middle of the night, she and Arthur were on one side of me while Madoc and Sian were on the other - all pressed so tight against me that I felt like I was in a mummy wrap.
Of course, this morning she's back to her usual behavior but that's fine. She spent most of yesterday in the little kitty pub house that I bought at Aldi and that's only about 3 feet from my favorite chair.

(2,067 posts)I so love it when Midnight sleeps with me. He's the only one. Jasper I think will when he gets older as he wants more and more cuddles but no picking up.
I love your kitty posts. They warm my heart.

(7,184 posts)When our cats start grooming each other we say they're having a meeting of the Mutual Grooming Society.
The Society meets regularly to deal with official business.
