Today I took a drive out to see Mikey, my favorite cat, and he has two canine siblings, both much younger than he is. They aren't used to Mikey getting most of the attention so they were just beside themselves. The whimpering was beyond the pale. We're talking a three year old hyper rez dawg* and a one year old pedigreed dachshund. Good grief. Mikey lets them have it when they deserve it. They are both spoiled to the max. Mikey gets attention but not s much, plus he goes outside much of the time and only comes in at night.
I had to laugh at those dogs, it's a universal thing, can't be missing out on a good thing, man.
*Rez dawgs are dogs rescued from one of the reservations in the area. they are half wild, it's anyone's guess as to their pedigree (ha!) or the degree of their muttliness. This one is female and looks a lot like an Aussie shepherd/border collie mix but there's a whole bunch of mystery DNA going on there. These dogs are notorious for being hard to train.
