It just was delivered and i put it on my furry guy , thunderstorms later with heavy rain in forecast for this evening a few earlier this afternoon just distant thunder.
Here is hoping this solves the issue, our other Golden retriever Mr big paws R.I.P. that beautiful boy would just come unglued with storms like Dunc.
And the Thunder shirt is a size husky duncs down from 92 pounds to 88 cuz grandma has stopped with the two PBJ pieces toasts.
He gets people food yet small bites.

(6,286 posts)who naturally are on total alert all the time. It worked somewhat, different results for different dogs. Now with the 4th of July festivities warming up aka 3rd WW, we are packing up for a week in Canada where there is peace and quiet. Hugs to pups!

(726 posts)First time poster in this forum, but long time lurker. I want to thank you and your fur kids for all the great stories and laughs. All their antics and your great storytelling style make this animal lover's heart so very happy! Wish everyone in the world put the same energy and love into their animal companions as the people who post in this forum. I'm hoping this is the solution for Duncanpup's fear of storms. It's so hard when our babies are afraid. I hope you are able to keep us updated on what happens. I hear really good things about thunder shirts. Fingers crossed!

(4,609 posts)We used to have a doggie that was so terrified of the sound of fireworks that she would just sit and shake/shiver,,,,, it was terrible to see. We got a thundershirt for her, it was like magic. She was a little skittish but could easily be distracted from the goings on outside,,,, Good luck with yours,,,,,

(10,838 posts)Back in the day, they didn't. The first time we had a thunderstorm after I rescued my girl, she tried to crawl under the couch. Now if you've ever seen a 42-lb. dog trying to get under a couch with a 3 inch clearance, you have some idea of how terrified she was! When she found out she couldn't do that, she got in a corner and sat there with her nose pressed against the wall, shivering, until it was over. This was repeated every time it stormed.
We had a cat come into the shelter, a surrender for whatever reason, wearing a thunder shirt. She wasn't wearing it yesterday, but she's an extremely anxious girl. She does respond to petting, so we're hoping she gets over it, but poor baby.....
