Carys is in quite the friendly mood, this morning

She came up and powered Madoc out of the way so that she could get some pets and scritches from me. That's VERY unusual behavior for her. Then we shared a piece of toast.

It would be interesting to know what it is that sometimes triggers her to com out of seclusion. Lately she's been letting me approach her close enough for her to sniff my hand and for me to give her a quick nose scritch. I don't push anything beyond that. And she's spending much more time sitting near by, rather than in another room.

I would love to try and brush her but I don't want to send her back in to hiding.

has been, and continues to be, the correct course. My little lap panther is a rescue. We have gone from "don't touch me" at first to "what do you mean I need to move off your lap so you can go to the bathroom?" , and not wanting me out of his sight. He is curked up on my lap, purring, even as I write this.

Is deciding to do that. She wants you to know she loves you. Maybe she'll be more visible as time goes on.
