We have a rescue Aussie/Husky mix. This dog really loves my youngest child. While my youngest was dog-sitting her brother's puppy, the Aussie/Husky mix escaped 5 times. Huskies are escape artists. My beardie went with the Husky mix twice and go fairly close to the local freeway. The GPS works great and I was able to find the dogs even once at night.
This video really made me smile

(106,330 posts)I can't say that all the dogs survived, but a lot did because of an "escape artist" husky who opened the kennel latches and somehow got the back door open. So, I give them their due!

(71,798 posts)took me a long time to figure out that she thought me chasing her around and yelling meant i enjoyed it, too.
what an escape artist she was. knew just where to hit the screen door to open it. jumped out of 2nd story windows. jumped off roofs. climbed stockade fences like they werent there.
wd never have a husky, a beagle or a jack russell. im just not a good enough person for them.

Well, the girl was the mischievous one, and the other 2 followed. She could climb (jump?)6-7 foot fences. She was an incredible escape artist. Once outside, it was all just a big Husky race. Big streets? no problem, they crossed them. I honestly have no idea how they never got hit by a car.
They ended up in doggie jail (the pound) many times. Man, I miss them.
