I had visitors last night. Cats got a thrill. They enjoy watching nature out the window. Enjoy ...

Backyard. They set off the Motion Sensor lights.

Side yard. Mom & cubs heading towards a locked gate. So they'll be back.

Coming back from the locked gate, Mom is carrying a cub.

If you know what I mean.

When I saw the racoon with a cub in her mouth, I though wow, that's cool.
All moms are the protectors & disciplinarians of the family.

porch. I'm a little too nervous w/ having so many around, you never know if one of them is sick or whatever.

His videos are interesting to watch as he feeds them.

10. Yes. Among other things (food-wise). But like I said, I would be nervous having so many of them around. It's nice

to have some wildlife around, but not that many. I've seen raccoons here in the city, including right at my front door (I'm in STLouis City, MO), but rarely. But we do see them fairly often, including possums, tons of squirrels, and believe it or not, foxes (Iive near a large city park, Tower Grove Park (or Shaw's Garden for those interested)).

The only wild critters I haven't seen in the city itself are deer and turkeys, pheasants. I guess too many people in the urban portion of the city.

Now if you go perhaps 25 miles in the four corners of the map from the center of STLMO, you'll run into ample wildlife, e.g., Grant's Farm, the outlaying Shaw's garden in the county, etc.

6. I had a pet raccoon growing up

His name was Bandit.

Taught him to walk on a leash,
But he rode my shoulder a lot .
He would wash his food at the kitchen sink.
Bandit used a litter box like a cat.

He was really affectionate rather a bit Velcro. Bandit and Rikki my black cat would take turns cuddling with me sometimes they tag teamed. Both slept on my bed with me at night.

I brought him to school for show and tell a few times talked about raccoons and showed off his latest tricks I had taught him.

Bandit also got along with my Dalmatian Mikey and my 4 chickens, including Blackie the epic rooster ,my canary, budgie and garter snake my Rabbits and my crazy flying squirrel.
I also had a tankful of neon tetras
A box turtle and a couple of Anoles.

My house was nicknamed the zoo.
I still miss every pet I ever had taking care of them was a full time job but I loved it. Bandit had a killer sense of humor too. He would steal my jewelry and hide it under the bed.

Raccoons can be such babies and thier little hands are so soft. Don’t get me started an the chitters and chirps they do. And the tired raccoon little old guy walk as they amble to bed.
