She is doing well and adores her brother, Oberon (Bee). Hes so shy and socially awkward that it has taken all week for him to get comfortable with her. She is a very busy and joyful little cat.
I think they are going to be best friends and shell help Bee come out of his shell. He shares his favorite feather toy with her and they like chasing each other around (they sound like mini-horses galloping around the house). He is also sleeping in his favorite chair/bed again so hes definitely adjusting. He loves to just watch her bounce around and play with toys.
We do put her in the guest room for a few hours a day so Bee and I can have some calm and quiet alone time and so I can brush him and let him know how much I love and appreciate him, despite the new, cute little attention hog living with us.
Her name is definitely Ophelia. We tried out nicknames (Philly, Phil, Lia
) and, of all things, Fifi got big old happy chirps from her. So, I have a cat named Fifi now, lol. I keep calling her Feefers and she seems to like that also. Shes so sweet and talkative and I adore her, too.
Fifi is sleepy now and I actually managed to get a few quick photos:
Edit:
Just walked by Bee in his favorite chair and took a pic. Hes gained the needed pound or two and his glorious winter coat is starting to come in already.

(119,888 posts)I had to have a little talk with him yesterday about not letting her walk all over him, lol. I gave them each a small pile of treats and he just let her take his. Oh, no no no. Shes quite a handful!

(5,113 posts)Shes so long and slim, body and tail, and talkative that I think she might have Siamese in her.

(735 posts)So glad they are getting on well. I love that you waited for her to respond to her nickname before adopting it for her--I did that with my kitties, too. Please give loves from me to both kitties, and thank you for sharing their stories and pictures. Take care.

We also have a Big Orange tabby, and that's what we call him - aside from his actual name, that is!
