There is nothing sadder than a double-collared dog.

Luna has an infection on a small area of her tail. We tried just the rigid collar, and just the soft collar, but she could still reach the area with her mouth.

We have meds and ointment. She's put up with this for almost a week now. We hope another week will be all that's needed. She is really being a very good girl about it.

wrapped the tail, then sewed the wrap to surrounding tail tissue. Worked perfectly!

and we asked the vet if she couldn't just bandage the tail. She said no, it needed to be uncovered. Darn it.

Poor baby! Celina has a bad skin condition. She's usually fine, but every now and then we need to cone her to keep her from doing too much damage. She scratches herself bloody sometimes. She gets cortisol shots, B12 acupuncture and we make sure her claws are very dull. Luna will be so happy when that cone finally comes off!
