When they are really feeling affectionate?
My black cat Raven does, I did look it up, it's a leftover from when they were tiny kittens, still suckling.
Just like the "kneading," they feel so good, like back when they were warm and happy.

They will also drool if they are having dental problems.

(178 posts)I had another long hair black cat who would stick out the tip of her tongue when she was happy. It was adorable.
