Madoc has a purr that is meant to cure

Last night he was unusually snuggly. Madoc's fur is plush and soft, and he's a sizable boy. He curled up next to me and let me give him kisses, scritches and use him as a pillow. Then his purr kicked in and it is LOUD.

It's important to note that Madoc has been a bit 'distant' since Merlin arrived. He prefers to not be in the same room with him. Last night, not only was he in the same room but ALSO on the same bed!

This wonderful purr therapy went on for quite a while. Admittedly I had been pretty stressed out for most of the day so maybe that's why he ignored the intruder and gave me some calming time.

BTW, Merlin has now conquered every single barrier I can think of to keep him in t he den. Now he's a free range mischievous little wizard.

Kittymagic! Purr therapy is great. I have yet to hear those three kitties next door actually purr. They let me cuddle them for a moment but they haven't purred at me yet.

Madoc could tell what you needed so he was willing to just do it!

We’ve had a few cats that lived with us that were psychologists and physical therapist. The greates PT was Cherokee a calico. After a had day of physical work with my back aching she would walk all over my back doing catupressure. Then she would find the worst tense spot and begen kneading, all the while purr up a storm.

...on my pillow, usually snuggled against the side of my face, & purrs in my ear. He's so loud I can't fall asleep until he does & the purring stops.

But it's unbearably sweet.
