Wed Apr 29, 2020: On this day, April 29, 1970, U.S. troops entered Cambodia.

Nixon launching invasion of Cambodia, 50 years ago tomorrow night, saying, “This is not an invasion of Cambodia”:

Cambodian campaign

Date: 29 April – 22 July 1970

The Cambodian campaign (also known as the Cambodian incursion and the Cambodian invasion) was a brief series of military operations conducted in eastern Cambodia in 1970 by South Vietnam and the United States as an extension of the Vietnam War and the Cambodian Civil War. Thirteen major operations were conducted by the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) between 29 April and 22 July and by U.S. forces between 1 May and 30 June.

From what I remember, the only term used in the media of the day was "incursion". I don't recall invasion or campaign. I think incursion was used as a sort of veil to what was actually going on, or to appear like an erudite stroke of military genius in the minds of the public.
