Given all the actions and signs in the past 5 years, I really hope we, and democracy prevail in the coming months and years. But it could be rough waters. Thanks for the background on Ike, I always respected and liked him.
Watched the 'Chicago 7' on Netflix, enjoyed it. Abbie was well played, sharp mind and wit. It was interesting meeting him before a lecture many years ago.

(7,604 posts)I met him a few times. Most notably at the Kerouac Conference in 1982. I got to watch him debate Allen Ginsberg on the balance between internal and external political activisim. He always had such a grounded, common sense approach for an excellent dreamer.
