The name refers to the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms which took place on Nov. 9 and 10, 1938. This wave of violence took place throughout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia recently occupied by German troops.

Nazi officials disguised the organized nature of the pogroms. They described the actions as justifiable and spontaneous responses of the German population to the assassination of a German diplomatic official, Ernst vom Rath, in Paris. I hope there isn't something like a kristallnacht here.

Thinking of the magas with thier insane home arsenals all hyped up with hate and conspiracy theories. It gives me chills to think that could happen here.

Interesting how the nazis played it off as a bunch of different individual perpetrators and lone wolves to deflect from the fact it was an organized attack.

on the loose here and well armed is a nightmare. The evil perps of Kristallnacht twisted and lied about it of course.

The 1933 Reichstag Bldg. Fire (legislature) in Berlin was an earlier shocking event that led to the Nazis and Hitler gaining power.

The massive fire is thought by some to have been set up, a false flag operation for which a naive, young Dutch communist was blamed and executed (below). Terrible times and horrible people at work..
