When did a woman's right to defend herself become a RW talking point?

Consider the statement, "A woman's right to self defense is a RW talking point."

Now, think about what that implies. That means, in order to be a member of the Left in good standing a woman must cede her right to self defense.

Is there no right to self-defense, period; or do men only enjoy the right?

Does the Left believe because it champions the right to an abortion in the event of rape therefore it is justified in telling women they have no right to effectively resist a rapist?

Does the Left believe because it championed the Violence Against Women Act they are exempt from allowing a woman to defend herself when the Restraining Order is ignored by the abuser?

Yet, women who do exercise their right to defend themselves are belittled, condescended to and shouted down.

(Typical behavior among abusive partners, by the way.)

The right of women to defend themselves shouldn't be a RW talking point; it should be a universal talking point. Too many claiming to be a member of the Left need to shed their medieval expectations of female subservience and recognize the independence and self-determination of women.

Either I or they will go but we can no longer both call ourselves members of the Progressive Left.

We were winning the War Against Women until we found traitors in our ranks. I will not join with the traitors.

The NRA Talking Points contained in their latest Trump Ad aren't going to save the NRA Candidate.

Especially with regards to self-defense.

Sort of an enigma re: women and self-defense "talking points"?

And who exactly are you accusing of being a traitor?

That's a very serious charge, with very serious penalties.

Trump Calls Obama Traitor in Wake of Orlando Shooting

The Republican suggests the man he hopes to succeed next year is secretly in cahoots with the terrorists

Donald Trump crossed yet another line on Monday by basically calling President Barack Obama a traitor.

........this issue is a very, very sore spot with me. Now, my sis is the last person that should own a gun -- because under stress she absolutely freezes. (Took me a while to decide to post on this thread.)

There are plenty of women, however, who are eminently capable of defending themselves with firearms. Those women deserve better than to be cowed by blackhearted Controllers who would (hypocritically!) attempt to convince them that the weapon "would just be taken away and used on them" if they made the decision to own a gun. They certainly deserve better than to be told that perhaps they "just don't have what it takes" to attempt self-defense with a handgun or long gun. And to be subjected to the '47 times more likely' LIE.

Just one more gun-related issue where "honorable liberals" transform with GOP-like/Trumpian behavior. Absolutely sickening hypocrisy. And when asked directly if a women has a right to defend herself with a gun, these miserable cowards bob and weave......refusing to answer the simple question.

Done here.
