Louise Mensch: some collected facts
I do not know what to think about Louise Mensch. She could well be a Murdoch-funded conservative agitator. But she could also be what she claims - an anti-authoritarian who wants to bring down this president. And so I thought I would try to collect everything I knew and see if anyone else could chime in.
What we know:
Mensch is a former conservative MP from England who married an American, moved to the US, worked for Murdoch running Heat Street, a News Corp foray into the Internet (Fox News for the Internet age, if you will).
It looks like there are two possibilities for her current motivations:
1. She became anti-Trump sometime in 2016, and started a blog dedicated to exposing the Trump-Russia ties.
2. She stayed pro-Trump after the election and created a blog to fool the left, making them look like conspiracy theorists to discredit the real Trump-Russia ties.

Here are observations I've noted. If you have anything to add, do it in replies below and I'll collect facts here.
This will be long.
First, her posts on internet or technology, especially using whois data, are rough at best. She doesn't know very much at all about anything technological. That said, when she says Russia hacked US entities and used that data to influence the election, this could well be true.
The FBI said in Oct 2016 Russian hackers were involved.
Also, WSJ article today claims DCCC important data was released by Russian hacker to at least one GOP operative.

On Brexit:
- Mensch has denied that Russia or the right could have used nefarious means, including social media, to influence Brexit. Tweet: "Absolutely true but much harder with the majority older voters who voted Brexit"

- John Schindler, Tom Nichols are pro-Taylor but are refraining from comment on Mensch. Schindler has been talking about Putin and Russia since 2012/13, and Tom Nichols is fairly level headed.

I've thought that Mensch's sources were likely UK - GCHQ. But if Schindler doesn't know who her sources are, then where is she getting info from?
