Media
Related: About this forumIncrementally I am being closed off to media online.
The NY Times allows 10 articles per month for free. Then without a subscription, you're closed out.
More or less the same thing for the Washington Post.
I can't access even local news in New Jersey because one paper allows 10 free articles, and period, you're shut out.
The other paper demands I disable my AdBlocker. However, I know many sites can't sift out the Malware attached to their commercial clients, so I won't do that.
I understand the need for media to make revenue online as their hardcopy papers are losing readership and sales.
However, I would need to dedicate at least another $100 (which I don't have) to access all the newspapers and magazines and sites and would have to pay a service to regularly remove the malware.
Guess it's back to the public library to regularly read newspapers and magazines.
