Traitor he swore same oath as all of us vets.

(474 posts)Made me angry beyond belief right to my core. A 4-star general pleading the 5th is abhorrent. Oh, and we're still paying his retirement. Absolutely horrifying.

(6,317 posts)He had his dirty hands in all kinds of traitorous activities from kidnapping a Turkish religious/political leader to selling US nuclear technology. The fact that he was convicted should have prompted a military review and response regardless of pardon. From what I understand accepting a pardon you must accept responsibility and quilt for the underlying crime. Why does his still get a pension and other military benefits? Disgraceful.

(412 posts)As a veteran was disgusted by him taking the 5th especially when asked if he believed in the peaceful transfer of power. How hard is that to say yes but then again we are talking about a man who President Obama told Trump not to hire. I guess Flynn and Trump are the same.

(200 posts)He looks old and weak, I would not have recognized him. And I guess he went to central casting and asked for "sketchy, sleazy lawyer" cause that was one slimy looking attorney...
...I sincerely hope that Flynn ends up in prison or that his weakened, wane appearance signals a prolonged, painful stage left exit...

(7,111 posts)If so, they should reactivate Flynn, and then court martial him for his role in the insurrection, and for defrauding the 2020 election.

(29,169 posts)reactivating a retiree for a charge under UCMJ. It ruled that would be a violation of the 5th Amendment, USC, equal protection.
The ruling is in limbo now. So unless there's a civil charge, the traitor has dodged that bullet.

(10,008 posts)How about reactivation for a proxy task and THEN a courts martial?
Yeah, I know.

then Powell became his lawyer and he said just kidding Im not guilty
(paraphrasing). Everything that come out of his mouth is a lie aimed at hurting the Dems and this country. How Flynn made it too 3 star general is confounding.
I am not sure what is going on but I am simply awe struck at the amount of crazy coming from ex military people. Especially from the SEALs. These people took an oath to defend this country and then turn around and 💩 on it. Wtf?
