Related: About this forumThere are currently 60 living Medal of Honor recipients.
I wonder how many of them are sickened at the thought that a former US President, a former Commander-in-Chief of military forces, considers an award that he presented to one of the largest donors to the Republican Party, to be a higher honor than the Medal that they received?
I wonder how many of them will vote Harris/Walz this fall?

by giving it to wealthy donors and the likes of Rush Limbaugh when it was intended as an honor to be awarded to "individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors." Of course the Medal of Honor stands alone, to be given only to those military personnel (suckers and losers, to him) who have shown uncommon valor in action at great risk to themselves; for Trump to suggest that it's lesser than the Medal of Freedom (which nevertheless deserves more respect than Trump gave it) is a grave insult to its recipients. But I suspect that one reason he called the Medal of Freedom a better or more important award is because as president he had the power to bestow it, while only Congress - not Trump - could award the Medal of Honor. In his mind, anything he can do is always going to be better than anything anyone else can do.
