Post-9/11 GI Bill focus of new online system

SAN ANTONIO — The Veterans Affairs Department has launched an “online complaint system” for troops, veterans and dependents to report problems with schools when using education benefits.

Students with trouble involving the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Military Tuition Assistance Program can submit input at www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/feedback.asp.

The VA said the system is designed to ensure students and their families “have the best information needed to make the most informed educational choices, while holding institutions of higher learning to the highest standards.”

By reporting schools that fall below federal standards, students can “help improve the school experience for themselves and other beneficiaries,” the VA said.
