Bernard Bergan didnt have a clear idea of what he wanted to do as he wound down his Army career last summer. He figured he had some lean months ahead as he looked for work.
Then he turned to Rally Point 6, a Lakewood nonprofit, and came out with a plan that landed him a job at Microsoft before hed even hung up his uniform.
Sometimes you need someone to point you in the right direction. They did for me, and I ended up at Microsoft, said Bergan, 31, a former Joint Base Lewis-McChord Special Forces communications sergeant.
Hes one of the first success stories for Rally Point 6, a new nonprofit that aims to be a one-stop shop connecting veterans with career and social services.
