bush painting pictures of Soldiers

This stirs up so much crap in me.

I'm glad to see bush attempting to reconcile with what he was responsible for unleashing on Iraq, but the guy still doesn't get the full scope of how it impacted the people who served, their families, or the people who happen to reside in a nation in which war was inflicted on. bush doesn't at all seem to realize that the goodwill of people was taken advantage of by him and the people that pushed us to war on Iraq.

I can't be the only person out there who joined the Army before Iraq with the intention of making the world a better place or protecting our nation. Iraq, at its roots, was never about that. Yes, volunteered. However I was taken advantage of by people like him and sent to Iraq to do aweful things on a population totally undeserving of it.

Perhaps I'm pittting myself too much and blaming others for my problems, but I know I would sleep better at night and have a much clearer conscience had the death I peddled in Iraq would have had been applied to people who actually deserved it.

It may be little, or no, solis but you joined to serve the country you love. You could not have predicted the situation you ended up in, and being a soldier you had little choice but to do your duty. Terrible circumstances can lead to chaotic decisions. The fact that you reflect on it and have regrets says a lot about your character. I hope you have sought out help. Your country loves you back.
